always anthro ...

Hello all,
I started today by looking online for a new design or styling book, and as usual ended up heading straight to the Anthropologie website. This has to be one of my all time favourite stores and their website is just as good. I can't go instore or on the website without compiling a "wish list" in my head... a wish list that is so huge it's almost laughable. It's a given that I adore all of the clothing Anthropolgie offers, especially the dresses, but their home products are really beautiful too.

I'm a sucker for cushions and glassware so I was overly excited when I saw all of the colourful and eclectic pieces on their website today. There are so many brilliant pieces that I had to create a little "wish list", one of my most realistic ones to date as none of the products on this list are that expensive and all are perfectly practical. So with my birthday not too far away, maybe I'll be able to make my way through the list... you never know!

all of these beauts are available on the Anthro website... lucky us!!

Hope you enjoy

Book of the month...

Now that I have some extra pennies thanks to my lovely, new job I'm going to buy a new design/styling book each month to add to my collection, which I have to say has come to be a bit of a halt recently. There are so many brilliant books out there, but the one that has caught my eye this month is by one of my favourite interior stylists, Selina Lake.

Her first book Bazaar Style was a great read, beautiful imagery and great supportive text made it a coffee table must for many. Her latest book Romantic Style is right up my street. By looking at the preview on amazon I have already fell hook line and sinker for the colour palettes, vintage pieces and themes. So come next weekend I will be able to spend hours riffling through this book and come on here to express my love... naturally.

So starting from this month my "book of the month" will become a regular feature, I'll post my favourite images and also review the books which may be handy for some of you out there.

Here is a sneak peak of Selina's "Romantic Style" book.

Enjoy and Happy Weekend

All Heart...

Hello all,

Just a few more things I've collected over the last few days, both things I would like to purchase if I had an ever lasting budget. Unfortunately they will have to remain on my ever growing wish list. It's almost torturous doing research for my blog as I tend to fall in love with everything I see, but as my budget will not allow for any generous purchasing I will instead share them on here. I'm just all heart aren't I...

Here is a book that will appeal to anyone interested in interior decoration or styling. Lilli Diallo - Details..

Providing all of the tips and secrets that you could wish to know in order to create truly wonderful and inspiring interiors. Yet another book to add to my wish list, for me its great to have copius amounts of imagery here on my trusty old laptop but if truth be told you can't really showcase these images in a better way than a brilliantly put together book. Stylish photographs, paired with thoughtful and informative text make for a perfectly packaged source of constant inspiration .

Whilst doing my usual riffling for inspiring things I came across a lovely photographer on Etsy, I'm a bit of a sucker for the romantic, blurred effect photography so I really couldn't have found a more perfect match than this. Sixth & Main. Be sure to check out their page on etsy as it is packed with beautiful prints, example of which I have pulled below.

After doing so much research I have felt inspired to whip out my watercolours and get creative again myself. Since graduating in July I haven't really had the urge to get back to sketch booking as I was still recovering from the stress of third year final term. However, that is all in the past now and I'm starting to miss it. So it's time to start painting again, who knows where this will take me, but it will be nice to be able to paint as a hobby instead of doing it just to hit a deadline.

So off I shall go,

enjoy your weekends!

etcetera...

Hello all,

So, I haven't blogged in around a week as I have been fairly busy with one thing or another, but I have been collecting bits and bobs along the way. My favourite find amongst all my searching was the website of interior stylist Twig Hutchinson. Her online portfolio boasts some of the most inspiring and deliciously delicate interiors that I've come across. Her use of colour and hues add a real depth to the rooms styled, especially the first image which I've pulled below. The oatmeal and chalky hues are really something to behold.

As much as I love to trail through countless online portfolios and blogs to find inspirational imagery I think it's been a little too long since I used some books for inspiration. I have, if possible over used my Patrica Guild Private View book, so now it's time for a bit of amazon. There are two books in particular that I would like to get my hands on, "Domino" book and " Etcetera", both books focus on styling and interior decoration with some amazing photographs to sit alongside the texts.

So time to save some pennies to make my book collection even prettier.

Enjoy
