touched...

My favourite images of the week so far. A long, wordy post is in order very soon, but for now this collection of loveliness will have to do.

Saturday I will return after a visit to the Liverpool Biennial festival which is running from now until November. The Biennial is a contemporary art festival which happens every two years in the city of Liverpool, showcasing a variety of exhibitions. This year the festival, named "Touched" is jam packed with an array of interesting, inspirational and thought provoking exhibitions and workshops. My first of many visits will be this Saturday so I shall report back on how its all turning out so far.

I plan to visit as many exhibitions as possible, considering there are upwards of 40 main projects within the Biennial event I will have to plan as many visits as physically possible. I may even dabble in some of the evening festivities, a splash of wine and a dose of culture.... what's not to love hey?!

Here is the link to the Biennial festival...

Bejewelled...

Just a quick update today, I promise to post a nice, long, jam packed entry this weekend, but for now my new set will have to suffice.

This set was inspired by this Topshop jacket... yes TOPSHOP. It looks like its hopped straight off the catwalk. I just couldn't resist.

Enjoy

Will be back soon

Happy Sunday ...

Hello all,

It has, I fear been a little over a week since I last updated. Apologies. I started my new job this week, so all of my energy and effort has been focused on that... well up until Thursday anyway.
But now, after a nice weekend away by the seaside I have an eclectic bundle of things that I would like to share.

My first port of call is Your Eyes Lie, I have always been a fan of this brands digital print vest tops and t-shirts but I have recently started to stalk their "vintage look" page, unveiling some of the prettiest and quirky dresses that I've seen in a while. Whilst being really affordable they are also so different to all the dresses currently on the highstreet. Unfortunately my favourite dress (the first one pulled below - the navy beauty) is sold out, but I'm hoping that it will soon be back in stock in time for my first pay packet in this new job.

Below I have pulled a few of my favourite dresses from the brand, and although they may look a tad summery I think with a nice, oversized, chunky knit cardigan and tights, these would work a treat for winter.

My new favourite thing <3

Next up is the lovely works of Amelie A Poulain, discovered on my usual weekly trawling on Etsy her page is crammed with a wide range of brilliant photographic prints. Below I have pulled some of my favourite prints, I think these in particular capture the energy and edge of this photographer, be sure to visit her page and take a look at what else she has to offer.

And finally Dogeared. As some of you will know, this is one of my favourite jewellery brands of all time. I love the simplicity of their jewellery and especially the new bracelets that they are currently stocking, yes they seem pretty pricey considering how delicate they are, but the look of their pieces along with the inspiration behind them make them easily one of the best young jewellery brands out there.

I have to say I am more a fan of the simple pieces of jewellery that they stock, I think that is what they do best, the karma bracelets and the wishbone necklaces are little pieces of greatness. I could spend hours confessing my love for Dogeared but I will instead spoil you with a collection of my personal favourite pieces. If the images below aren't enough to win you over then hop over to their website where I'm sure you will find something to fawn over.
